I have been infected by Salsa after another trip to Spain last year, but by all measures of what dancing is I have to be considered to have about three left feet and a rhythm system as smooth as an epileptic kitten playing with a ping pong ball on a tiled kitchen floor. However, 2003 new beginings etc. I have got as far as finding this site and reading up what I can. But I need to find a place that takes total basket cases like myself - points me in the right direction and does not suffer serious internal injuiries while laughing at my attempts.

So, in brief I need to know - where I can go as a TOTAL newbie - the closest I have come to dancing salsa is downloading Cuba (Gibson Brothers) - I am not joking.

I am based in Mid-Essex,Around Witham-Colchester.

What to wear ? That means clothes/shoes etc ? Anything else ?

Please take pity on me - less for my life I am doomed to look on with envy at those that can....

Don, never fear there is hope for all. Check out the listings page for all events in your area or could I ask any promoters reading this from the Essex region to take pity on this poor soul?
