Okay, it looks like I'm well and truly out-voted on this one. Let me say some stuff in my defence ...

nes! (I have seen you dancing...) While most

Didn't realise there were London "Mafia" women out there ("Mambo Mafia" or "Clave Nostra", perhaps?)

no mafia women ? i asked one of the advanced ladies at SOS to dance ..pretty german girl beautiful style of smoothe movement , i love to dance smoother flowing stuff thought it would be heaven but ..then when i danced with her every time i'd reach for her hand to lead her , she would wait till i almost made contact then whisk it away with a flourish, 1st couple of times i put it down to styling after that i knew it was intentional, shame really given half a chance maybe she would have been suprised .And if it any consolation to the guy that started this discussion some times it is better to be refused, someone earlier remarked he doesn't ask the advanced woman to dance ,
re inforces a point made earlier
the flashy ones are not always fun to dance with. Also makes me think
i will never make a woman feel like that when i dance with her , if she trips over her own feet i will apologise ,not to be totally negative ,i once asked one of the swedish show girls to dance by accident at SOS , figured she was way out of my leauge and would make me look and feel like crap, but completely the opposite she made the effort to pay attention and follow the lead and because she was so positive found myself dancing beyond myself,
i would like to think at least i'm good enough to warm the woman up while she waits for one of the instructor types got to be better than just standing around,

I was just comparing SOS with the other London clubs I've been to. At just about everywhere else I've been (which includes Palladium, Bar Salsa, La Finca, Loughborough Hotel, Tudor Rose, Bar Rumba, Scala), it's been more difficult for me to get dances than at SOS. The only other place I've been which matches SOS for ease of getting dances is My Place.

I just assumed that my experience would be consistent with most other peoples.

all the clubs are a lottery one night a lot of refuals next a lot of dances ..
maybe if you have the patience to go regularly and not dance for months eventually things improve
